India to Showcase Defence Capabilities at LIMA 2025

Sanjay Seth, Minister of State for Defence, Government of India, will lead the Indian delegation to the 17th edition of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) in Langkawi, Malaysia, scheduled to take place from May 20-24, 2025.
LIMA, first held in 1991 and held every two years, is among the largest defence exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific. It provides a platform for defence diplomacy and innovation, and India’s presence at LIMA 2025 highlights its growing role in regional and global security.
This year, a dedicated Indian Pavilion will be inaugurated by the Minister, featuring India’s advancements in defence manufacturing, showcasing the country’s commitment to self-reliance and innovation.
Several Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) such as Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Bharat Dynamics Ltd, BEML Ltd, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, and Gliders India Ltd, along with private defence firms, will display indigenous technologies in maritime and aerospace systems.
The country’s participation will also exhibit key defence assets, including a Dornier aircraft and an Indian Naval Ship, demonstrating the Indian Armed Forces’ operational capabilities and technological strength.
During the visit, Minister Seth is expected to meet with Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, Minister of Defence, Government of Malaysia. Their discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral defence ties and advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, an initiative formalized in 2024 between the two nations.
