Lace Up, Gear Up, Game On for HITEX SportExpo India 2025

The countdown for the Hyderabad International Trade Expositions Ltd (HITEX)-organized SportExpo India has begun. Presented by bigbasket, a Tata Enterprise and one of the country’s largest online supermarkets, the event in its 8th edition returns on August 22-23, 2025, to the HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad. Touted as India’s premier B2C expo for the Sports, Fitness, Wellness, and Nutrition domain, the event promises to be a power-packed two days filled with action, inspiration, and community spirit for enthusiasts, athletes, and families.
Gathering over 60 exhibitors across the sports, fitness, wellness, nutrition, and related or allied industries, HITEX SportExpo India 2025 offers a dynamic platform for attendees to discover products, trends, and experiences that inspire healthier, more active lifestyles.
During the two days, the event is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors, all eager to immerse themselves in over six power-packed activities for all age groups and interests, celebrating physical vitality, competitive spirit, and community engagement. Day 1 is set for 10:00 am to 08:00 pm, and Day 2 starts early from 8:00 am to 08:00 pm. The best part? Entry is free for all.
Activities That Set the Pace
It all gets started with the ‘NMDC Marathon’, in which more than 27,000 runners are expected to take to the streets. The 10K run will commence in HITEX and end in Gachibowli Stadium, and the 5K marathon will begin and end in HITEX, creating a festival of movement for experienced runners as well as casual participants.
Next up is a safe, fun cycling experience for families—Cyclothon, where enthusiasts will find their rhythm in ‘Pedal Pulse – The HITEX Ride’, organized in collaboration with Gigglemug Events. Taking place on August 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM, the ride will wind through safe and scenic loops of 1.5, 3, and 6 km inside the HITEX Exhibition Centre, accompanied by music, activity zones, and a lucky draw where one winner will pedal away with a brand-new bicycle.
‘Pickleball’, the sport that has been capturing hearts, will have its moment with a tournament organized by Neo Athlos, bringing together more than 70 participants for a fast-paced paddle sport played on a smaller court that blends the best elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis.
The ‘Grand Queen Women’s Cricket League’, hosted by Celebration Makers Sports and organized by Community Connect in collaboration with HITEX, will put women in the sporting spotlight. The first day offers an open house for women, where they can walk in and bat with a bowling machine and take on fun cricket challenges. While the second day will culminate with up to four teams competing in knockout T5 tennis ball matches that are sure to offer camaraderie with a competitive edge.
Esportex—Where Sport Meets Screen
One of the most anticipated additions to this year’s edition is ‘Esportex’, the first large-scale esports tournament dedicated to the Telugu gaming community. This unique convergence of sport and e-sport will feature National Esports Championships with 128 top BGMI teams from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, along with 480 Free Fire MAX teams from across India.
Visitors can expect live, influencer-hosted LAN tournaments; creator-led streaming and fan engagement; and officially sanctioned tournaments by Krafton (BGMI) and Garena (Free Fire MAX) that is sure to capture the energy of the Indian youth and reflect the rise of competitive games.
Live Showcases Amping Up the Energy
Other than the competitive events, vibrant live demonstrations will enthrall visitors in the ‘Showcase Arena’. The art of bodyweight exercises to build flexibility, control, and muscle endurance by experts will be represented in ‘Calisthenics Demonstration’, and ‘MMA & Boxing Displays’ will have exciting exhibitions of mixed martial arts (MMA) and boxing, showcasing discipline, strength, and combat skill by trained fighters.
The ‘HYROX Fitness Challenge Zone’ will test participants with a high-intensity race combining functional training with endurance, where participants perform a series of workout stations and running circuits. Visitors can also join in ‘COMMUNITIE On Spot Challenges’ where they can participate in planks, push-ups, handstands, arm wrestling, ‘Find Your Sports Tribe’ activities, and sports quizzes—ensuring that there’s never a dull moment on the floor.
